I don't think that's weird at all. In fact, I'm pretty sure hat was one of Annabelle's first words, too. There seems to be something enjoyable about putting things on your head! ;) I love the pictures, and Gus' PJs, too!
My little brother's first word (I kid you not): mailman! He was a late talker, but started with some fancy and unusual words. "Hat" sounds like a great early word for your son - so fun!
Thanks for your comment on my post. I don't know that the doctor was philosophically opposed to cloth diapers, I think she just thought they were gross and inconvenient (and didn't particularly want them in her office). She called me out in front of all the other pregnant couples there and asked me to explain why I was using them - it was so embarrassing!

Your son is too cute! And 'hat' is a pretty impressive word to be one of his first! Way to go Gus! :)
